Scary Movie, we believe this is a good example to influence our choice of costume for our characters. Even though its a parody based movie, it presents each stock character like they would in the original horror movies; but exaggerate on what they wear. Below is a clear example of the final girl (on the right) and the male gaze in the center third. We thought this is helpful for our trailer as we can see the final girl would wear clothes that isn't in fashion and is sensible in contrast to the other girls who wear exposing costumes and neck chokers.

Another horror film we were inspired by was the remake of Nightmare on Elm Street. One reason why we choose the remake as appose to the original was because the remake would have changed their costume to appeal to a generation similar to our target audience. We liked the use of a white dress on the final girl to suggest innocence. This was used in the original but what is evident in the remake is that they considered the fact that many teenage females don't sleep in long dresses like they did in the original. This influenced us to also take this into account and to remember not to think too deeply about what our audience wears when they wear similar clothes as we do in our group. Also, the use of scratches on arms were also influential to us as we liked the idea of cuts appearing in more places than clothes and faces.
